About the Yarn

What bases do you carry?

You can see a detailed overview of my bases here. Please note, some bases may not be available in all collections.

Are your yarns ethically sourced/mulesing-free?

Yes! I only purchase yarn from suppliers who are RWS certified.

Are your yarns machine washable?

Yarns labeled “superwash” are technically machine washable, however I strongly recommend handwashing your projects in cool water for the best results and longevity.

Will the colours look exactly like the photos?

I try my best to take photos as colour accurately as possible, however colour accuracy varies from screen to screen.

Colourways and Dyeing

What does OOAK mean?

Sometimes I use leftover dyes, and sometimes I just feeling like playing and don’t take detailed notes! These colours will be labeled as OOAK (one of a kind) and I am not able to recreate them. Once they are gone, they are gone for good!

Will skeins from the same colourway match perfectly?

I take great care to make sure my yarn is as similar as possible, however the beauty of hand-dyed yarn is that no two skeins are exactly the same, even when dyed in the same batch. I strongly encourage you to order all the yarn you need for your project at the same time.

Do you take custom colour requests?

Absolutely! I love working with people to help create the exact yarn they envision for their project. Please reach out and we can start brainstorming!

What is the difference between in-stock and dyed to order?

In stock means the yarn is already dyed and ready to ship out. Dyed to order yarn is dyed specifically for you!

Can I order a colourway from past collections?

I keep all my recipes from past collections, so if there is something you love and have to have, send me an email!

Shipping

Do you ship internationally?

I currently do not ship the the EU. If you are not in the EU but don’t see a shipping option please contact me so we can work something out!

How long will it take for my order to ship?

In-stock yarn usually ships within a few days. Any dyed to order listings will have information on turn around times (anywhere from 2-6 weeks).

Returns & Exchanges

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

I want you to love your yarn! However, due to the nature of hand-dyed fiber, please note the following:

Mystery Items: All mystery skeins, kits, and surprise listings are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Dyed-to-Order Yarn: Because these skeins are custom made just for you, dyed-to-order yarn is non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Colour Variation: Hand-dyed yarn is an art—each skein is unique. Small variations in colour, speckling, and tone are normal and not considered defects.

Other Returns: In-stock yarn may be eligible for return within 14 days of delivery, provided it is unused, in its original condition, and in its original packaging. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs.

If you receive an item that is damaged or incorrect, please contact me within 7 days of delivery so I can make it right.

Yarn Care

How should I wash and care for hand-dyed yarn?

I recommend washing your finished items in cool water and laying flat to dry.

Will the colours bleed when I wash my project?

I carefully set each colour and rinse the yarn thoroughly until the water runs clear. However, you may notice colour in the water during the first wash due to variations in water.

Community and Extras

Do you offer wholesale or carry your yarn in shops?

Yes! My yarn will sold at my LYS, Heaven is Handmade, in Sarnia, Ontario starting October 1st.

Wholesale pricing is available for yarn stores who wish to stock my yarn. Please reach out if you would like more information.
